Alphonse Gemuseus

Alphonse Gemuseus (born May 8, 1898 in Basel ; † January 28, 1981 there ) was a Swiss show jumper . He was a first lieutenant , later the doctor of law became the director of a brick factory.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 , he won the gold medal in the individual competition and the silver medal with the Swiss team on his horse Lucette with only six faults. The Swiss army bought his horse Lucette from Ireland in 1922 for 48 pounds.
