Lars Daniel Norling (born January 16, 1888 in Stockholm , † August 28, 1958 in Malmö ) was a Swedish gymnast and rider . As such, he was Olympic champion several times .
Life
Norling first took part in the Summer Olympics in London in 1908 , where he competed in the team all- round competition , one of the two apparatus gymnastics competitions . With the Swedish team, which also included his brother Axel Norling , he won the gold medal. Four years later in Stockholm, Norling, like his brother, competed in apparatus gymnastics again and won the gold medal in the "Swedish System" competition with the Swedish team.
His next Olympic participation took place in 1920 at the Summer Olympic Games in Antwerp . This time he competed as a show jumper with his horse Eros II and won the gold medal in this discipline with the Swedish team.
