The Schwarze Ahe is an 8.3 km long right tributary of the Verse in the Märkisches Kreis , North Rhine-Westphalia . The course of the river lies in the area of Herscheid and Werdohl .

The headwaters of the Schwarzen Ahe are located about 500 m north of the Piener Kopf at an altitude of 484 m above sea level. NHN . From here the brook flows in predominantly northerly directions, flows through the villages of Hardt , Verse , Schönebecke , Vogelsang and Schwarze Ahe to leave the Herscheid municipal area at Wiesenfeld . After a further 300 m flow section, the Schwarze Ahe flows into Altenmühle at 243 m above sea level. NHN in the verses. The difference in height between the source and the mouth is 241 m, which corresponds to an average bed slope of 29 ‰.
The Schwarze Ahe has a catchment area of 20.132 km² that drains to the North Sea via Verse , Lenne , Ruhr and Rhine .
Tributaries
The following, mostly short tributaries flow to the Black Ahe. The longest tributary is the Bubbecke , with a length of 3.1 km. The largest catchment area has the Höllmecke with 3.192 km². The Holter Becke is longer at its mouth than the Schwarze Ahe.
