Meißendorf is a village in the municipality of Winsen (Aller) in the Lower Saxony district of Celle .

Green spaces and recreation

Immediately adjacent to the Hüttensee in the southwest of Meißendorf with its campsite is the 815 hectare nature reserve Meißendorfer Teiche / Bannetzer Moor , which is of national importance because of its species-rich breeding bird world and as a resting area for migratory birds.

Sports

Meißendorf is known for the resident parachute sports club Hanover with its jumping operations on the special airfield Brunsiek. Founded in the 1970s by the Olympic champion and national show jumping trainer Hermann Schridde , he offers interested parties not only the opportunity to jump in tandem but also training programs up to the acquisition of a skydiving license. In addition, the only heather queen in the district of Celle is elected every year in Meißendorf .
