Andree Hesse

Andree Hesse (born February 28, 1966 in Braunschweig ) is a German writer and literary translator .

biography

Andree Hesse grew up near Celle . After an apprenticeship as a saddler, he studied at the University of Television and Film Munich , which he left without a degree. He directed the theater in Marburg, wrote screenplays, plays and short stories. Today Hesse lives and works as a freelance writer and translator of English-language literature in Berlin. He translates in particular crime novels by Will Adams , Simon Beckett and Peter Robinson . His own detective novels about Commissioner Arno Hennings , which have been published since 2005, are set in the Celle region.
