Südwinsen is a district of the municipality of Winsen (Aller) in the Lower Saxony district of Celle , which lies on the Aller . The place is crossed by the L298, which leads north over the Allerbrücke to the center of the community.

On February 1, 1971, Südwinsen was incorporated into the municipality of Winsen (Aller).

politics

Local mayor was Horst Brandt (CDU) from 2001 to 2011. Since November 2011 it has been Timm Schlosser (WGSW).

In Südwinsen, an independent community of voters called Südwinsen (WGSW) came together for the 2011 local elections.

Culture

Once a year, the Südwinsen Festival takes place as a Free & Draussen music festival. There are also the prince stones.
