Carsten-Otto Nagel (born September 23, 1962 in Marne ) is a German show jumper , master horse manager and farmer .

Career

Carsten-Otto Nagel rode for the first time at the age of six on his parents' farm in Friedrichskoog and won his first difficult jumping at the age of 12. He has been employed in the Moorhof stable in Holm since 1992 . His greatest successes include victories in the German Jumping Derby in Hamburg in 1999 and 2010, the team title at the European Championships in Hickstead (also 1999), the silver medal at the European Championships in 2009 and the team gold medal at the World Championships in Lexington 2010. In 2000 he was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein sports badge.

Between the two events in 1999 he was also the German Show Jumping Champion . Before that he was successful in World Cup qualifications and Grand Prix. Nagel also achieved success with Grand Prix victories, among others in Neumünster and Redefin .

In February 2012 he was on the 28th place in the show jumping world rankings. After Corradina said goodbye , the international starting opportunities for Nagel were reduced and he slipped accordingly in the world rankings.

Private

Carsten-Otto Nagel comes from an equestrian family, his cousin is the former show jumper Tjark Nagel , whose son is Björn Nagel .

Nagel is in a relationship with the show jumper Mylène Diederichsmeier , both of whom have lived in Norderstedt -Garstedt since 2010 . Their son was born in October 2015.
