The WEAU transmission mast was a 608.99 meter high guyed transmission mast for broadcasting VHF and TV programs in Fairchild , Wisconsin , USA . The mast was completed in 1981 and was owned by the television broadcaster WEAU-TV. On March 22, 2011, the transmitter mast collapsed due to a heavy snow storm under the snow and wind load. Until that day, the mast was considered the tallest structure in Wisconsin.
