The WFC Corso 99 / Vineta is a football club from the Berlin district of Wedding . The club was created in 1996 as a merger between the clubs SV Corso 99 / Vineta and Weddinger FC 08 .

history

The oldest predecessor club was BSC Corso 99 , which was originally located in the Prenzlauer Berg district. He played in the 1901/02 , 1905/06 and 1927/28 season each in the highest class. In 1920, Corso 99 merged with SC Wacker 04 Tegel to form SC Wacker-Corso 99 Berlin . In the same year the merger was reversed.

After the Second World War , the company initially entered under the name SG Prenzlauer Berg-Nord , before the old name Corso 99 was adopted again in 1950 . From then on, the club had its sporting home in the western part of the city, although most of the members continued to come from the eastern part. The building of the Berlin Wall in 1961 was therefore a great test for the club.

The later merger partner SC Hakoah Berlin was founded on July 22, 1905 by the Jewish community of Berlin and was banned during the Nazi era . In 1945 the club was re-established as SG Hakoah, but in 1953 it was renamed the Vineta 05 game association . In 1973 the club merged with Corso 99 under the name SV Corso 99 / Vineta .

In 1972 the clubs BFC Columbia 08 and Spielvereinigung Athen 1914 merged to form Weddinger FC 08 . While Columbia 08 and Athens 14 did not get beyond the lower classes, Weddinger FC succeeded in 1985 in promotion to the then fourth-class Landesliga Berlin, in which they stayed until 1993.

At the moment the WFC Corso 99 / Vineta plays in the district league B.
