Märkische football championship 1901/02
The Brandenburg football championship in 1901/02 was the first under the Märkischen Football Association (MFB), this season under the name Free Berlin Football Association discharged, Brandenburg football championship . A total of three competitions were played, series I and II of the diploma games and a hat tournament held as a cup. An all-German football championship has not yet taken place this season.
Diploma games
Diploma games were announced by the chairman of the new association, Richard Schröder.
Series I.
The Serie I was played in autumn / winter 1901, eight teams took part. The following table status has been handed down:

The teams Rixdorfer FC Belle-Alliance , BSC Wacker 1900 , BTuFC Alemannia 1890 and BFC Hertha 1892 resigned in the course of the series. The VBB forbade its members (Alemannia and Hertha) from further participation, Wacker resigned voluntarily (change of association).
Special rating: For Berlin clubs there were eight points for a win or four for a draw in Cottbus and four points for a win or two for a draw in Nauen. For Cottbus there were ten points for a win or five for a draw in Nauen. For Nauen there were ten points for a win or five for a draw in Cottbus. In all other games there were two points for a win or one point for a draw. As a result, the first two finishers each got 32 points.

Hat tournament
The tournament took place in the spring of 1902, 12 teams took part. After the game, the referee believes that the best player on each team receives an honorary cap. The winner of the tournament will receive 11 honor caps.
