W (TV series)
W (Hangul: 더블유; RR: Deobeuryu) is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo . It aired on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. from July 20 to September 14, 2016 .
The series received praise for its unique idea and reached first place in the Content Power Index in its first week . It achieved a modest audience of 11.63% and exceeded the audience figures in its time window for its entire duration.
Summary
Kim Eui-sung , the father of Oh Yeon joo (Han Hyo-joo), mysteriously disappeared while he was writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W" . Yeon joo went to his office and was shocked to see a scene of the dying Kang Chul (Lee Jong-suk), the main character of W, on her father's computer. While reading a note her father had left, she withdrew one hand from the monitor and found herself on the roof of a building next to a bleeding man. She managed to save him and realized that the person who saved her was Kang Chul. Yeon joo later discovered that she could only leave the webtoon because of Kang Chul's changing emotions. When this happens the words "to be continued" will appear and it will be transported back to the real world.

- Kang Chul is the main character in the popular comic series "W". Kang Chul is calm, relaxed, and hardworking. He is the co-president of Junior Global. He is the owner of the W channel . He's also an Olympic gold medalist in shooting in the comic series. His family died because of an unknown killer, but Kang Chul was immediately mistaken for the killer due to his shooting sports career. After proving himself innocent, he tried to find the killer and seek revenge. He was later stabbed to death on the roof of the hotel. There he met the mysterious Oh Yeon-joo.

When he realizes this, he also notices that his drawings are rejected by the characters and sometimes change on their own. As a result, he decides to end Kang Chul's life by drowning him in water, which Kang Chul opposes on the Webtoon.

- Park Soo-bong is one of Sung-moo's students and his right-hand man. He is Yeon-joo's confidante. At first he didn't believe Yeon-joo's theories, but later accepted everything. He is the only one other than the father-daughter duo in the real world who is aware of the two worlds. He mostly uttered himself at the beginning of each episode to educate the audience about the unspeakable part of the web bunon that readers in the real world are also unfamiliar with.
