After she had contested her first FIS races at the age of 15 , Frasse Sombet competed at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Jaca in February 2007 . She was eliminated in both giant slalom and slalom. After more winters at FIS level, she entered the European Cup during the 2009/10 season , where she was initially unable to achieve top positions. At the Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana in 2011, she finished eighth in the giant slalom and eleven in the Super-G. In March 2013 she achieved her first victory in the European Cup in Sochi and she finished the season with third place overall in the giant slalom classification. In autumn 2013 she tore a cruciate ligament during team training in Tignes , which ended her first full World Cup season prematurely. In the following season 2015/16 she was able to repeat her third place in the giant slalom ranking and qualify again for the World Cup.
Frasse Sombet made her World Cup debut on October 27, 2012 in the giant slalom in Sölden . Only two winters later, in March 2015, when she finished 25th in Åre , she won her first points. In the following season she reached the points a few times and increasingly started in the Super-G. She started the 2016/17 season with eleventh place in Sölden. With the ranks ten in Maribor and nine in Aspen , she was able to establish herself in the extended world elite and finish the giant slalom ranking in 17th place overall. At the World Championships in St. Moritz , she was eliminated in the first round of the giant slalom. At the end of the World Cup season, she finished third with the French team in the team competition .
