The Wade Ice Rise is a small ice dome in the Wordie Ice Shelf on the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 13 km northwest of the Triune Peaks .
Aerial photographs were taken during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys in 1958. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the ice dome in 1977 after George W. Wade Jr., senior construction electrician with the United States Navy , who had been part of the occupation at Palmer Station in the Antarctic winter of 1970 .
