Wadi as-Sir ( Arabic وادى السير, DMG Wādī as-Sīr ) is a city near the Jordan River southwest of Amman in Jordan . About 193,000 people live in the city, making it one of the largest cities in Jordan. The city is 928 meters above sea level.
About 10 km from the city are the ruins of the Qasr el-Abd (fortress of the slave) and the Iraq el-Amir (prince's caves).
