Vadim Igorevich Palmov

Vadim Igorewitsch Palmow ( Russian Вадим Игоревич Пальмов ; born December 13, 1962 in Sverdlovsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian pianist .

He studied with Natan Yefimowitsch Perelman in Saint Petersburg and has since become known for his performances in the territory of the former Soviet Union and in western countries. As a soloist he has performed with leading symphony orchestras . His artistic interests range from Bach to Beethoven , from Chopin to 20th century piano music . Of all genres of ensemble playing, the pianist prefers the piano duo . For years he has been playing duets with the well-known Petersburg composer and pianist Vadim Bibergan and for some time with his son Igor Palmow.

Wadim Palmow is also active as an organizer of festivals. Since 2005 he has been artistic director of the Anton Rubinstein Festival in St. Petersburg and since 2007 lecturer at the Karlsruhe University of Music .
