Car book , formerly Wagenbücherhof , is a living space within the boundaries of the Wertheimer village height field in the Main-Tauber-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

geography

Wagenbuch is located about 1.5 kilometers northwest of the Wertheim town of Höhefeld, at about 315  m above sea level. NHN close to a pond with a size of less than 0.3 ha, crossed by the upper reaches of the Läutersbach of the Tauber tributary Hahnenbergle-Graben .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1197 as Wagenbucherhof . It was an estate that was donated to the Bronnbach Monastery by Bishop Heinrich von Würzburg and, as an equivalent for Freudenberg, was increased in size. Around the year 1220 there was still Niederadel von Wagenbuch. In 1245 a grangie was mentioned. The estate was always an accessory to the Bronnbach monastery.

On the table sheet no. 6223 "Wertheim" from 1927, the place is named as Wagenbuchhof .

The living space came to the city of Wertheim on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Höhefeld.

Horse Chestnut Avenue

There are six common horse chestnuts along the avenue to Gut Wagenbuch , the trunk circumference of which was measured from 3.93 to 4.91 meters in 2015. The height of the six horse chestnuts is between 19 and 25 meters. The age of the trees was estimated to be around 200 years in 2015.
