Election of the Council of the German Cultural Community in 1981
The election of the Council of the German Cultural Community in 1981 took place on November 8, 1981. The members of the legislature of the then German cultural community of Belgium, today's German-speaking community , were elected for the legislative period 1981–1986. The Christian Social Party (CSP), the Socialist Party (SP), the Party for Freedom and Progress (PFF) and the Party of German-speaking Belgians with the non-party young independent (PJU / PDB) stood for election .

On December 31, 1983, the German cultural community became the German-speaking community. As a result, the newly created Council of the German-speaking Community (RDG) was set up on January 30, 1984, and the first community government was elected on the same day. This was made up of CSP, SP and PFF.
