The election of the Council of the German Cultural Community 1978 took place on December 17, 1978. The members of the legislature of the then German cultural community of Belgium, today's German-speaking community , were elected for the legislative period 1978–1981. The Christian Social Party (CSP), the Socialist Party (SP), the Party for Freedom and Progress (PFF) and the Party of German-speaking Belgians with the non-party young independent (PJU / PDB) stood for election .
