Election of the Council of the German-speaking Community in 1986
The 1986 election of the Council of the German-speaking Community took place on October 26, 1986. The members of the legislature of the German-speaking Community of Belgium were elected for the legislative period 1986–1990. The Christian Social Party (CSP), the Socialist Party (SP), the Party for Freedom and Progress (PFF), the party of German-speaking Belgians with the non-party young people independents (PJU / PDB), Ecolo and, for the first time , stood for election at the same time last time the party SEP (Solidarité et Participation).
The parliament of the German-speaking Belgians met from its beginnings in 1973 to 1984 as the Council of the German Cultural Community (RdK). It was known as the Council of the German-speaking Community from then until 2004, when all regional and community councils in Belgium were given the current designation "Parliament".
