Elections in Serbia
The Republic of Serbia has been a parliamentary democracy since 1990 . Legislation comes from Parliament (Народна скупштина / Narodna skupština ), and the President (Председник / Predsednik ) also has some powers.
Parliamentary elections
The 250 members of the unicameral parliament (Narodna skupština Republike Srbije) are elected every four years.

Electoral Commission
The composition, powers and tasks of the Serbian Republic Election Commission (Републичка изборна комисија / Republička izborna komisija ) are regulated in Articles 28 to 35 of the Law on the Election of People's Deputies.
composition
The permanent composition of the commission consists of a president and 16 other members, as well as a secretary and a statistics officer, who have no voting rights. The President and the Commissioners are proposed by MPs and appointed by Parliament for a term of four years. For the duration of elections, the commission is expanded to include one representative for each approved electoral list (party list).
The president, the committee members and the secretary each have a deputy. The President and the Commissioners as well as their deputies must be lawyers and must not be related to each other.
