The Dresden II constituency was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 40. For the state elections in 1994 , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the Dresden II constituency became part of one of the six constituencies in Dresden's urban area.

The constituency area comprised the city ​​district east with the residential districts 383 to 397 and 513 to 568.
