The Dresden VII constituency was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 45. For the state elections in 1994 , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the Dresden VII constituency became part of one of the six constituencies in the Dresden city area.

The constituency area comprised the parts of the northern district with the residential districts 110 to 142, 145 to 155, 170 to 182 and 207 to 223.
