The Walcott Lake is a lake 2.1 km east of the lower end of Walcott Glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located in the Royal Society Range in close proximity to the Scott Coast and is part of the Alph River system .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1994 in connection with the glacier of the same name after the American paleontologist Charles Walcott (1850-1927), director of the United States Geological Survey (1894-1907) and secretary of the Smithsonian Institution (1907-1928).
