Waldemar Józef Matysik (born September 27, 1961 in Stanica Wielka near Gliwice , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Waldemar Matysik played his first game in the Polish first division for Górnik Zabrze in 1979 at the age of 18 . Already in the next season Matysik made his debut in the Polish national team on November 19, 1980 against Algeria (5-1 victory). In 1987 he moved to AJ Auxerre in France . Here he spent three years. In 1990 Matysik moved to the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV . Here he was a regular player and top performer for three years. In 1993 he signed for one season with the second division club Wuppertaler SV . However, Wuppertaler SV got down and Matysik changed employers again. This time he came under the lower class VfB knowledge . At the end of 1995 he tried his luck again in professional football. He signed with Rot-Weiss Essen . Here he played again for a year in the regional league and a year in the 2nd Bundesliga . Matysik ended his career with FC Germania Dattenfeld in 1998 .

Until June 2005, Matysik was the coach of the regional league club FSV SW Neunkirchen-Seelscheid 1926 eV, which he led to the regional league with victorious relegation games against FC Leverkusen (2-0) and VfR Wipperfürth (5-0). Then he was a coach at the Bonn district division 1. SF Brüser Berg until June 2010 .

Since January 1, 2013, Waldemar Matysik has been the head coach at the Bonn district division SC Fortuna Bonn.

National team

With the Polish national team Matysik played at the 1982 World Cup and the 1986 World Cup. In total, he made 55 appearances in the Polish national team.
