Architecture and history
The church was built from local spruce wood in 1932 according to plans by the Ballenstedt building councilor Kurt Ehrlich on the initiative of the owners of the local sawmill. The hall building has a rectangular floor plan, on the west corner of which a slender tower rises into the nave. There are four bronze bells in the tower. The simple building is clad with inverted formwork . The coupled windows are arranged horizontally. There is a wide eaves cornice on the nave . In its appearance, the church is based on the design of mountain chapels. It is registered in the local register of monuments. It belongs to the Evangelical Church of Anhalt .
North of the church is a boulder as a war memorial for the dead of the world wars. The boulder bears the inscription 1914/18 DEINE TOTEN WERDEN LEBEN 1939/45 ( Isa 26,19 EU ) and is crowned with a cross.
