The forest pavilion on Lindenberg is a structure in the forest west of Trautheim .
History and description
Under the reign of Grand Duke Ludwig III. In the first years of the 19th century, its extensive forests in the east and south-east of Darmstadt - which until now were mainly only used for hunting and forestry - were opened to the public as a recreational area. For this purpose, a number of existing hunting lodges and pavilions with the associated facilities were made available and new pavilions were built as resting and resting places.
The small wooden pavilion of the "Anlage Lindenberg" stands on an octagonal floor plan and has a pointed, inwardly curved roof. It lies within a semicircular double-row linden tree .
