from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Waldrich (* unknown; † August 22, 804 ) was the 6th Bishop of Passau from 777 to 804 .

Not much is known about Waldrich's life and work. During his term of office, the diocesan borders were extended to the east, as far as the March and Leitha rivers . In addition, Passau was subordinated under him to the new metropolis of Salzburg as a suffragan . Just like many of his successors, Waldrich fought vehemently, but ultimately unsuccessfully, against this subordination.
