Valery Viktorovich Shitovalov

Valery Viktorovich Schitowalow ( Russian Шитовалов Валерий Викторович , Ukrainian Валерій Вікторович Шитовалов Valery Wiktorowytsch Schytowalow * 1. February 1940 in Simferopol , ASSR Crimea ; † 26. July 2013 in Simferopol, Ukraine ) was a Soviet and Ukrainian theater and film actor.

Life

Valery Shitovalov grew up with his sister with his mother in the area of ​​the capital Simferopol. After graduating from school, he applied to the Maxim Gorki Theater in Simferopol and was accepted, although he had no training as an actor.

From 1958 to 1988 he was engaged as an actor at various theaters in Schadrinsk, Kursk, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Vladimir, Sevastopol and Krasnodar. From 1988 he was permanently engaged at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Simferopol.

He taught directing and acting at the Crimean branch of the Kiev National University of Culture and Art, was head of the performing arts and dance department and finally professor and dean of the chair of directing at the Crimean University of Culture, Art and Tourism.

Shitovalov was married to the actress Svetlana Mikhailovna Kalganova, who was honored as a Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980) and a prize of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The couple have a daughter together.
