Valery Ivanovich Zyganow ( Russian Валерий Иванович Цыганов ; born October 14, 1956 in Montschegorsk ) is a former Russian ski racer from what was then the Soviet Union .

It won the downhill in Aspen on March 5, 1981 and ensured the first World Cup victory for a Russian ski racer. In the same month four more victories for Alexander Schirow followed . He had previously finished eighth in the Downhill at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid .
