Walley

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The walley is a jump in figure skating , which is often referred to as the inward Rittberger .

The jump start is backwards on one leg, with a serpentine line. This movement is used to gain enough momentum for the jump. The jump takes place from the inner edge of the skate blade and not, as with the actual Rittberger, from its outer edge. A rotation of 360 ° around the longitudinal axis of the body is carried out in the air , the rotation movement is supported by closing the arms. Landing is done backwards on one leg. This jump is often used as a warm-up and just exists in its form.
