Walter Dorsch

Walter Dorsch (born August 19, 1922 in Fürth ; † August 1, 1989 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Dorsch attended elementary school and commercial vocational school and then did an administration apprenticeship with the city of Fürth. He was in the military and was taken prisoner of war by the Soviets after the Battle of Stalingrad, which lasted until 1949. He then successfully completed vocational training for the higher state and municipal administration service, was chairman of the tax office and chairman of the entire staff council of the city of Fürth and administrative director of the hospitals.

In 1963 Dorsch joined the SPD, where he was deputy district chairman and district chairman of the SPD for Fürth-Stadt. From 1974 to 1986 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , always directly elected in the Fürth-Stadt constituency .
