Walter I. (Vexin)

Walter I. († after 992 ) was a count of Vexin , Amiens and Valois and probably also of Dreux in the 10th century.

Walters family origin is uncertain, although he now generally the first Valois , the son of Count Rudolf II. , Or - and this is more likely - the Rudolf I is imputed. Presumably he was also identical with the named Count von Dreux, who is named at the same time.

He was married twice, first to a lady Eva and after her to Adele, who was probably a daughter of Count Fulko II of Anjou . The marriages produced at least three sons:
