Walter Keil

Walter Keil (born May 2, 1905 in Darmstadt ; † 1982 ) was a German civil engineer and administrative officer .

Life

After studying civil engineering, which he completed in 1927 with the diploma examination and in 1931 with the great state examination, Walter Keil worked at the Hessian hydraulic engineering office in Mainz and at the management of the Upper Hesse province in Gießen and as a construction manager in the Reich Aviation Ministry until 1941 . He was appointed government building officer in 1941 and worked as such at Luftgaukommando XVII in Vienna until 1945 .

Since 1948, Keil worked as managing director of the Hessian State Committee. He joined the Hessian civil service in 1949 and in 1950 became a consultant in the Hessian Ministry of the Interior . Here he was appointed government building officer in 1950, senior government building officer or senior government councilor in 1952, government director in 1954 and government building director in 1955. In 1958 he moved to the Ministry of Reconstruction of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as a ministerial director , which was renamed the Ministry of State Planning, Housing and Public Works in 1961 and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works in 1967. From 1967 until his retirement on May 31, 1970, he held the post of State Secretary there.
