Walter Kutschera (politician)

Walter Kutschera (born April 29, 1914 in Leitmeritz , Bohemia , † June 4, 1998 ) was a German politician ( GB / BHE ).

Life and work

Kutschera was born the son of a decorator. After attending elementary and middle school, he completed an apprenticeship in the upholstery and decorator trade, passed the master's examination and worked as an independent decorator since 1935. Shortly afterwards he took over the management of his father's company. In 1940/41 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier , from which he was released as a disabled man.

After the end of the war, Kutschera moved to West Germany as a displaced person and settled in Hameln . Here he had been working as a laborer since 1946, then switched to a warehouse manager and buyer in a war disabled company and in 1948 took on a position as a sales representative. Shortly afterwards he worked again as a window dresser. He finally practiced this profession until 1951. He then worked as a youth officer for the Federation of Expelled Germans (BvD) in Lower Saxony. He also acted as regional and federal leader of the German Youth of the East as well as co-founder and chairman of the Katlenburg Settler School .

From 1969 to 1979 Kutschera was director of the Hameln Adult Education Center.

Political party

In the early 1950s, Kutschera was a co-founder of the BHE district association Hameln- Bad Pyrmont .

MP

From 1951 until his resignation on October 8, 1953, Kutschera was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1957. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
