Walter Lingg

Walter Lingg (born October 12, 1958 ) is an Austrian hotelier and former politician ( ÖVP ) who was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1994 to 2007 . Lingg lives in Au , is married and has three children. His father of the same name was also a member of the state parliament.

Lingg represented the ÖVP from October 31, 1994 to June 6, 2007 in the Vorarlberg state parliament and was the economic and tourism spokesman within the ÖVP state parliament club. He resigned his mandate in 2007 in order to be able to focus more on his hotel in Au. At the same time, he resigned from his position as President of Vorarlberg Tourism , into which he had been elected at the age of 36. At that time, Lingg was the youngest president of the Vorarlberg Tourism Association.

In 1985 he took over the business of the hotel from his father, Walter Lingg senior .
