Walter Oelschner

Walter Oelschner ( pseudonym : Martin Tobias , * 1911 in Lenkerbeck , Gelsenkirchen district ; † December 17, 1990 ) was a German Protestant theologian and writer.

Live and act

Walter Oelschner completed his training as a missionary at the mission school of the Neukirchen Mission in Neukirchen . From 1936 Oelschner, who was also active in the Confessing Church during the Third Reich , was active in the domestic youth mission . He wrote numerous mission stories and from 1937 to 1941 published a mission magazine for young people called Tole . After the Second World War, Oelschner worked as a youth pastor in Frankfurt am Main ; from 1963 to 1967 he was the mission leader of the Neukirchen Mission and from 1967 to 1976 pastor in the Hessian Massenheim .
