Walter Pope

Walter Papst (born September 18, 1924 in Kiel , † March 26, 2008 in Cologne ) was a German industrial designer and writer .

Life

Walter Papst initially worked in various industrial and furniture design production facilities, then set up his own production facility and studied interior design and design at the same time. In 1957 he opened his own atelier for industrial design and product development in Cologne. Later he became involved as a futurologist ("worlds of origin") and writer while living in France; his first work (1994) The Tree of Gods has been translated into four languages.

He became known for his avant-garde designs. His work has been presented at the Milan Triennale and the Musée des Arts décoratifs Paris, among others. It has received awards such as that of the iF Industrie Forum Design .
