From October 2005 to December 2007 he was national chairman of the party who are faithful to the Bible and from January 2008 until November 2008 he was chairman of the AUF - Party for Work, Environment and Family , another Christian-conservative small party . He withdrew from the chair for personal and health reasons.

Professional background

After studying mechanical engineering from 1974 to 1980 (graduation: Dipl.-Ing.), He worked as a research assistant and professor at the State Materials Testing Institute at the University of Stuttgart until 1985 . From 1985 to 2002 he worked for Daimler-Benz AG and its successor company, Daimler-Chrysler AG , in Stuttgart in the area of car development, the last seven years of which as a department manager.

In 1989 he received his doctorate summa cum laude at the Faculty of Energy Technology at the University of Stuttgart.

Weiblen has been advising technology companies on engineering and processes since 2002. He is the managing partner of International Consulting Process Implementation GmbH (ICPI GmbH) for process consulting and International Consulting Engineering Services (ICES) for development consulting.

Political activity

Weiblen joined the Biblical Christians Party (PBC) in 2000. He ran for the constituency of Böblingen in the 2002 federal election. In 2004 he ran for the PBC in the European elections, in the district council of Böblingen and in the mayoral election in Stuttgart. In the latter, he achieved 1.0% of the votes (1890 votes) in the first ballot and 1.3% of the votes (2194 votes) in the second ballot.

In 2002 he was elected to the board of the PBC regional association. In 2003 he became a member of the federal executive board, in 2004 state chairman in Baden-Württemberg . In October 2005 he was elected Federal Chairman of the PBC. He succeeded Gerhard Heinzmann , who did not run again. One focus of the reorientation of the PBC under his leadership was the intensification of cooperation and networking with other Christian parties, organizations and politicians.

From the collaboration with ZENTRUM , which was officially announced in September 2007, the initiative “Aufbruch 2009” arose at the beginning of 2007 through the interest of politicians from the Ecological Democratic Party (ödp) and people who were not yet politically active. The aim of this initiative is the cooperation of all Christian forces in politics. The concept of founding a new party for this emerged from “Aufbruch 2009”. This concept was discussed intensively in the PBC for half a year. The proposal of the PBC board was to facilitate the transition from the PBC to the new party in the transition phase through double membership in order to be able to maintain political effectiveness as uninterrupted as possible.

This approach did not achieve the necessary two-thirds majority at the party congresses in October and December 2007. The supporters of “Aufbruch 2009” only had the option of leaving the party to found the new party. That is why the board of directors, who was elected in October 2007 and clearly in favor of “Aufbruch 2009”, did not stand for the re-election in December 2007, which had become necessary for a formal reason. Dr. Women.

On January 26, 2008, the new “Party for Work, Environment and Family - Christians for Germany” (AUF) was founded in Berlin. According to its own statements, the party had a realpolitical, Christian-social profile and wanted to put its exclusively heterosexual understanding of marriage and family at the center of its politics. In March 2015 it was absorbed into the Christian party "Alliance C - Christians for Germany".
