Walter Ziegler (born May 10, 1938 in Cincu , Brașov ) is a former Romanian cyclist .

Athletic career

Ziegler was Romanian road racing champion in 1960 and 1966 and also won the national cross-country titles in the same two years . In addition, he won the most important tour of his home country, the Tour of Romania, twice - in 1960 and 1968 . He won a total of six national titles. Ziegler took part in the International Peace Tour nine times between 1960 and 1969 .

Professional

1971 emigrated Ziegler, from Transylvania came to Germany, where he attended the Sports University in Cologne studied. He worked as a sports teacher at a high school in Cologne .
