Walter Zimmermann (technologist)

Walter Zimmermann (born October 11, 1901 in Neunkirchen (Baden) , † after 1944) was a German university professor for agricultural technology and rector of the Hohenheim Agricultural University .

Live and act

Zimmermann studied natural sciences and received his doctorate in 1925 from the University of Stuttgart as a Dr.-Ing. From 1928 he was an assistant at the Württemberg State Institute for Agricultural Trade in Hohenheim. From 1936 he was department head and deputy director of the institution. In 1937 he was appointed full professor for agricultural technology at the Hohenheim Agricultural University. In 1941 he also took over the position of rector of the university. He held both positions until he was recalled in 1945.
