Walti Bräm Publishing House
The Walti Bräm Publishing is an educational publisher based in Pfäffikon . The publishing house develops, produces and sells teaching materials and teaching aids for primary schools .
The publisher's focus is on teaching aids and materials for individualized teaching. He also carries didactic games, images, audio CDs and other additional material for teaching. The offer is supplemented by selected products from other providers.
history
The Elementary Teachers Conference of the Canton of Zurich (ELK), founded in 1925, published its own yearbooks and teaching aids in its first few years. A booklet created by the founding president Ernst Bleuler was allowed to be used in lessons from 1935 with the consent of the Education Directorate. In 1948 the primer "Roti Rösli im Garte" by Alice Hugelshofer was published in the publishing house of the Elementary Teachers' Conference, which was enthusiastically received by the teachers .
In 1990 the first workshop exchange was set up across the canton and Walti Bräm was set up as a professional publishing manager; after the publishing house had always been run on a part-time basis. Bräm greatly expanded and professionalized the publishing house. His professional experience both as a primary school teacher and as a typographer suited him. Bräm also worked as a course leader in teacher training . The publishing house grew strongly during this time. In 2002 the board of directors of ELK outsourced the publishing activities to a stock corporation under new management, which was later sold.
Encouraged by many loyal customers and course participants, Walti Bräm has since continued his publishing activities as a sole proprietorship under his own name.
