Waltraud Funk

Waltraud Funk (* 1957 in Immenstadt im Allgäu ) is a German sculptor and photographer.

Life

Waltraud Funk was born in Immenstadt in the Allgäu in 1957. After graduating from high school in Kempten (Allgäu) , she studied social pedagogy from 1975 to 1977 at the comprehensive university in Eichstätt . Then she began an apprenticeship as a wood sculptor with Baldur Geipel at the college for carpenters and wood sculptors in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . Her sculpture studies took her to Karlsruhe to study with Otto Herbert Hajek and Hiromi Akiyama at the Academy of Fine Arts . Waltraud Funk lives as a freelance artist in Immenstadt.
