Waltraud Trapp

Waltraud Trapp - married Becker - (born February 22, 1940 ) is a German table tennis player. She took part in the 1959 World Cup.

In the ITTF database, she is incorrectly listed as Ingrid .

Career

Trapp began her career at the Rheinhessen club TSG Pfeddersheim. In 1957/58 and 1958/59 she won the championship of the Rheinhessischer Tischtennis-Verband. In the early 1960s she played with the TSG Pfeddersheim women's team in the Oberliga , which was the highest German division at the time.

In 1959 she was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Dortmund. Here she won the singles against Maria Van Kempen (Belgium) by turning a 3:16 deficit in the decisive fifth set into a 22:20 set win. In the second round she lost to Danuta Szmidt (Poland). In doubles with Karin Gier , she was eliminated in the first round against Eva Kroupova / Libuse Grafkova (CSSR). In mixed at the side of Australian Michael Wilcox, she reached the round of 32 in a 128 field.

In the 1960s she married Willi Becker, who was the head of the TSG Pfeddersheim department at the time. In 1964 she left the club. In the late 1980s she played with TSG 1900 Zellertal in the second division .
