Wang Yidi (born February 14, 1997 in Anshan , Liaoning Province ) is a Chinese table tennis player .
Career
Wang was internationally active for the first time in 2014 at the China Junior and Cadet Open. In 2015 she became junior vice world champion, in 2016 she moved up to the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time and took part in the German Open and thus in her first tournament in the adult sector.
She won her first World Tour medal at the Austrian Open 2017, where she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Sofia Polcanova . In the same tournament, she beat the top 10 player Kasumi Ishikawa , among others . At the Bulgarian Open 2018 she reached the singles final, which she lost 3: 4 to world champion Ding Ning , and in 2019 she won the Hong Kong Open in singles, after winning positions 1, 2 and 3, among others, Kasumi Ishikawa, Mima Itō and Cheng I-Ching had beaten.
She also reached the semi-finals of the German and Austrian Open and thus qualified for the 2019 Grand Finals .
