Vanya Abramowski

Wanja Abramowski is a German local historian .

Life

Abramowski is a PhD in history and was from 1976 to 1989 employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry for State Security .

After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Abramowski became head of the Hohenschönhausen Local History Museum , a position he was dismissed from the then Hohenschönhausen Mayor Rudolf Buschko (SPD) in 1991.

Abramowski then initiated the founding of the Friedrichshain history association Hans Kohlhase e. V. and was elected its chairman.

Abramowski has published numerous writings on Berlin's local history. In 2003 he was involved in a legal dispute with the Heimatmuseum Friedrichshain (since 2001 part of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum [FHXB]) in connection with an exhibition about the historic Friedrichsberg district .

Since 2005, the history association has published the monthly Mont Klamott , for which Abramowski wrote historical accounts, including:
