Maxim Wartenberg
Maxim Wartenberg (born July 17, 1975 in Bochum ) is a composer, producer, author, singer and German-language children's songwriter . He lives and works in Berlin.
Band and label Wartenberg
The trademark of the children's songwriter is his cowhide pants. With his band “Maxim Wartenberg und seine Trommelfloh” the singer has been giving family concerts since 2002, performing with other artists and organizing family events in German-speaking countries. He is also involved in musical workshops in cooperation with schools and social institutions.
Maxim Wartenberg produces music CDs, audio books and multimedia content in the area of family entertainment in his music publisher, Musiklabel Wartenberg, with an affiliated studio (Studio Wartenberg Berlin). The children's songwriter masters several instruments such as piano, drums, various wind instruments and the guitar.
Pedagogical-social engagement and concepts
Maxim Wartenberg's work as ambassador for the mobile children's hospice Königskinder has been the focus of his musical work since 2012. In music, Wartenberg became a professional musical director and worked, among other things, for the Faust production at the FWT Theater in Cologne. The work in child and youth welfare institutions and the ideas and influences of his own children have always been the inspiration for his projects, both as a teacher and as a children's songwriter and producer. Maxim Wartenberg is himself the father of 5 children and as a social pedagogue with a focus on cultural work, Wartenberg developed the model “Cultural social work using the example of music to promote the development of children and young people”. His family music project "Maxim Wartenberg and his drum flea" was created in relation to this focus.
In 2013 he conceived the project KIM & CO (Kids in the Center) as part of mobile child and youth work for the Haselhorst neighborhood in Berlin-Spandau. Maxim Wartenberg also took over the pedagogical management of the project sponsored by “Aktion Mensch”.
In cooperation with ZDF / KIKA and the presenter Singa Gätgens , Maxim Wartenberg shot his music video "Ferienzeit" in May 2013 . A year later, in August 2014, the music video "Schluckauf" was created in cooperation with the director Wolf Armin Lange.
Producer / speaker activity
In 2008, the maxi CD "The drum flea at BabyOne" was created for BabyOne baby stores with a circulation of 30,000 CDs. Among other things, the Wartenberg label cooperates with Universal Music Family-Entertainment in the context of the use of drum flea songs for various compilations (circulation up to 100,000 copies). In the winter of 2010 and in the spring of 2011, 10 relaxation songs were produced and the maxi CD “The Four Seasons” was created (edition 20,000 copies). In this context, Wartenberg also developed the song for the brand symbol “Schaf Pauline” as part of Corporate Audio for the baby food manufacturer Humana .
In addition to his work as a teacher and producer, Wartenberg also works as an audio book producer. The bestselling children's book series "Ritter Vincelot" was published in 2013 by Coppenrath / Spiegelburg-Verlag. Here he developed a story in a combination of scenic reading and radio play. The rock opera “Seeräuber Jack”, which he developed from his own book, was also released as an audio book. In 2014 he composed the anthem for the Mühlhäuser Röblinglauf as a charity run for the Children's Hospice Central Germany under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Free State of Thuringia, Christine Lieberknecht .
