War and Peas

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

War and Peas is a comic strip by the German duo Elizabeth Pich and Jonathan Kunz . The strips were launched in 2011 as an English-language webcomic and have also been available in book form since 2020.

content

The comic presents bizarre everyday stories and grotesque phantasms with surprising, black-humored punchlines. There are talking animals, objects and natural phenomena as well as recurring figures such as the grim reaper, a ghost, a robot and a witch. The drawing was highly abstracted and colored flat, so human figures usually only appear with a circular head with point eyes and stylized hairstyle and clothing.

Recurring characters

  • Bitch witch ( Slutty Witch ): Promiscuous and fortified Witch
  • Godfather Death ( Grim Reaper ): Reaper
  • Robot ( Robot ): Emotional Robots
  • Officer McSexy: Incompetent, muscular cop
  • Gary: Ghost of a deceased child
  • Bob & Bob: Gay couple
  • Lord Nibbles: Witch's Cat
