Description of the funeral

Warugas are stone tombs belonging to the Minahasa in northern Sulawesi , Indonesia . The use of these stone graves began in the Stone Age, it was only abandoned in 1800 for hygienic reasons and replaced by burial . The dead were placed in the stone tombstones in a fetal position. Household items, gold and china were often added. In Airmadidi in Manado more Warugas have been preserved in a cemetery.
