Airmadidi is a place in the Indonesian province of North Sulawesi ( Indonesian Sulawesi Utara ). The name of the place means something like boiling water and refers to the mineral springs of the region. The main attraction of Airmadidis are the warugas , stone graves of the Minahasa who lived here from pre-Christian times.
geography
Airmadidi is the capital of the administrative district ( Kabupaten ) of North Minahasa . It is located in the Airmadidi district ( Kecamatan ).
The place is 17 km southeast of the city of Manado and 26 km west of Bitung . About six kilometers northeast is the Klabat volcano , another 15 to 20 kilometers southwest are Mahawu and Lokon .
