The Wohlenbüttleler watermill

The Wohlenbüttel watermill in Oldendorf in the Lüneburg district in Lower Saxony is the youngest of three watermills in the Amelinghausen region in the north of the Lüneburg Heath .

It was built on the Luhe in 1870 and equipped with an electric turbine in 1897 . The turbine drove two stone grinders and generated electricity . The mill is still functional, but is no longer used.

The restored electrical system is on the ground floor of the mill. On the upper floor are the grinding aisles and grinding machines that were located in the neighboring buildings and were driven by a transmission belt.

The mill is part of the Lower Saxony Mill Road .
